KOL Rd 1 Currently, MNZ are not issuing permits

KOL Rd 1 Currently, MNZ are not issuing permits so there is uncertainty as to whether Round 1 of King of Levels will go ahead.

In the event a permit is issued, how many of you would be able to attend? It is known some riders still have their bikes, vans and gear in the North Island. Some club riders may have had their engines sealed and are waiting for MNZ to be able to check them. Others may be suffering hardship due to not getting their usual pay while unable to work. There is also the issue of track maintenance and grass cutting to be considered.

When we know the alert level for May 23, I will ask riders to give an expression of interest as to whether they will be attending.

NZSBK Congratulations to all the riders who took part in the shortened 2020 NZSBK series. And special congratulations to Motorcycling Canterbury riders who finished in the top three – Alastair Hoogenboezem, Dale Finch, Jacob Pierce, Ollie Cotton, Tyrone Kuipers, Sam Guthrey, Madi Berry, Dennis Charlett and Dan Jenkins. It’s a pity we did not get to run the NZGP titles for 250 Production, 125GP and Superlight at Easter.
